Celeste opinion:

For those who don’t have a car, the Cruise to Pinhão (Route Nº2) is the best one to take. The landscape between Régua & Pinhão is less touched by the human hand, providing a better sense of how Douro Valley evolved along the years. Additionally, the visit and wine tasting to Quinta da Roeda, makes the trip memorable.

If you have a car or plan to stay one night in Régua, I recommend you to take the Cruise between Régua and Pinhão (Route Nº 3). As I said the landscape between these two areas are breathtaking, and you have the comfort of going upstream and downstream, avoiding the hassle of coming back to Porto by bus or train.
